The Mexican female. Ancestral ties to many North American tribes, yet only her food has survived the genocide. Her face and her color tell of the past, but even she cannot remember. She is scorned to this day, yet her DNA tells of romance and rape. No matter, she is mom and she is somebody's daughter. She continues to cook her abuelas food, and continues to look to the colonizer who stole her identity for approval and hope. But her grandmother's call her now, they know her by name.
