Point Zero

I live in the midst of war yet my hope and my faith are strong. In this painting I wanted to capture the feeling of a single, precious spark of life suspended in a vast, energetic universe - hope. It is all about the beauty of beginning, potential, and finding your centre amidst a swirl of energy around.
I chose this palette of colours because they always make me feel connected to something much larger than myself—like looking into the deep ocean or up at a clear night sky. Diagonal sweep of fine, glowing white lines represent the invisible currents of energy, light, and thought that constantly move around us.
Right at the centre is a point zero, a reminder that no matter how vast the universe is, how hard things can get, a single, positive intention has the power to hold its own space and eventually bloom.
