A black stone found on the bed of a stream is cut into facets of varying degrees of smoothness; ellipses are carved vertically in order to represent surrealistically two eyes. A lower oval, symbolizing an open mouth, contributes to define a face marked by a sense of uncertainty and anxiety about the future. The success to survive the billows during the most recent crossing has not put an end to these feelings, etched into the face of a young black migrant.
