Conditions of Disappearance explores the instability of human presence within contemporary memory and public space. Across five interconnected images, figures gradually lose coherence, shifting from recognisable individuals into uncertain traces, distortions, and absences. The work is less concerned with physical disappearance than with the fragile nature of perception itself — how identity can erode emotionally, psychologically, and socially while still remaining partially visible.

Drawing on the visual language of staged photography, memory studies, and cinematic atmosphere, the sequence examines the tension between presence and erasure. The final image, an empty chair within an abandoned interior, functions not as conclusion but as residue: evidence that someone was once there, even if certainty can no longer be recovered.
