The work serves as a metaphor for the all-encompassing permeation of life by technologiy and the ambivalent stance toward it.
The work depicts a multi-core cable with a broken sheath. The contacts on the left receive current from a power source and pass it on to the electronic components for use. The bundled cable fans out in two directions. In the upper right section, the coloer-coded wires terminatein small, precisely arranged electronic components. They symbolize the controlled side of technology: efficiency, progress and connectivity. The colored cables reveal a network of wafer-thin copper wires - no longer clearly structured, but rather growing and becoming increasingly chaotic. A creeping co-option of our worl, the influence of which can scarly be contained. The work also invites us to get to the bottom of things.
