Poetic Mountain Landscape

Series “Mental Mountains”

I remember the Chinese mountain landscapes: the mist below, the rocks catching the light, and the structures clinging to their slopes.
I do not perceive mountains as masses with sharp roots. They are inhabited and alive. Blended with the clouds, they become evanescent and almost adrift. In this series, with an abstract and aesthetic style, I wish to convey this impulse. It is the spirit of the mountains that I draw on paper.
