Mitsuki is part of MoonBook, a painting project dedicated to femininity interpreted through the symbolism of the Moon. For centuries, the Moon has been associated with cycles, intuition, transformation, and all that resists clear definition. The figure is presented not as a portrait, but as a presence, constructed through posture and the relationship between what is visible and what remains hidden. The garment resembles a fragment of the night sky and is covered with texts and symbols, personal stories that cannot be fully deciphered. Mitsuki becomes a confidante of the unspoken. She is a witness to secrets we do not share with others, thoughts we never write down, and emotions we cannot name. Just as the Moon keeps part of itself forever hidden, every person carries within a private space accessible only to themselves. Mitsuki invites us to reflect on this quiet mystery on all that we will never fully reveal, yet which remains the truest part of our story.
