Dagger Emerged from Clay

Dagger Emerged from Clay is the first work in an ongoing series inspired by Naomi's training in knife fighting and Kajukenbo. The series examines the structural limits of clay through forms traditionally associated with knife making. This piece was hand-thrown and sculpted on the pottery wheel, then finished using a Japanese Raku firing technique to create its unique textures and colors.
