"Confluencia efervescente" is an abstract exploration and critical study of Mallorca's identity and ephemeral nature. The artwork merges land and sea, blurring the island's dual realities: its traditional rustic purity—historic windmills now forgotten and in ruins—versus a vibrant, tourist-driven Mallorca, captured through figures swimming amid subtle pink hues. The piece questions the abandonment of heritage in contrast to the priority given to mass tourism.
Windmills transmuting into fans or schools of fish emulating their silhouettes coexist to reflect these two Mallorcas, isolated in independent bubbles. In the midst, two young people embodying the future plunge into the water to build the island's destiny. Wearing the exact same trousers, the piece stands as a manifesto for equality and empowerment, dismantling stereotypes that hypersexualize women. The canvas is a call to action to revive our legacy.
