A historical term from the 16th century served as inspiration for this figure: "spintisieren", which describes fruitless brooding and dwelling on misguided thoughts.
The heaviness of thought is symbolized by the horns, which
threaten to burst the head and, despite being laced up, continue to grow, twisting around themselves instead of protecting the wearer from external attacks.
