My work explores the systemic tension between rigid institutional structures and the unyielding desire for organic, personal freedom. In Escape from Corporate Chains, a vibrant and fluid seascape is hemmed in by a heavy, concrete-like relief crust. Embedded within this cold, industrial border are diamonds—symbols of the superficial wealth, status, and gilded traps of the corporate world. By fracturing this rough, artificial frame to reveal the untamed energy of the ocean, the piece challenges our perception of security versus liberty. It invites the viewer to look past the alluring, manufactured glitz of the periphery and find true refuge in the wild, uncontained expanse of nature.
