My recent body of work, The Horse / Al Hisan, develops from a convergence of personal loss and collective catastrophe following the events of 7 October 2023. The project unfolds through tensions between the constructed and the uncontrollable, and between presence and absence. My images emerge as imprints and remnants; of bodies, animals, landscapes, and states of being that have been displaced or lost, opening spaces where recognition and disorientation coexist.
