To Howl and to Hoot To Weep and to Dance

This painting is made from Acrylic, Ink, Oil and Oil Stick on canvas. It is an expression of what it feels like to be human in the world today, this is such a contradiction. The work is both a lament and a celebration of how it feels to be part of this beautiful world. As a species we humans have caused enormous harm, polluting the planet we live on. Our practices of violence and extraction and the belief we can take what we like causing such damage to the earth are distressing. We cause habitat and biodiversity loss, extinctions, climate change bringing more storms, fires, floods. But to live on this planet is still a gift, the sun comes up and there is still hope that the future can be brighter.
