I had this idea in mind for 2 months before even picking up the paintbrush. I wanted to create a vivid, exotic refuge, a world overflowing with color. It is an escape from the gray, concrete melancholy of our daily life, where some have gotten out of touch with nature and even themselves. Even though living in a forest is out of reach for me in these certain times, I envisioned a universe where I could retreat and live in abundance. All the animals can be portrayed as the humans, forming a community, but without judgement . The whole painting process took around 6 months.
