The Silence of Good Men examines the role of male silence in the ongoing violence and oppression experienced by women worldwide. Constructed entirely through millions of dots, the work demands patience and sustained observation, reflecting the uncomfortable necessity of confronting truths society often avoids.
The image depicts a man’s eye: not as a symbol of power, but as a mirror of accountability. The gaze carries fear, grief, awareness and unease, confronting the viewer with the question of what it means to witness injustice and remain silent. The essence of a tear becomes both confession and consequence.
Through intense scale, detail and direct eye contact, “The Silence of Good Men” transforms the act of looking, into a moral confrontation. The work asks not whether men are capable of empathy but whether empathy without action is enough.
