MediumMixed Media on Board

Dimensions 21 × 30 × 1 cm

This mixed media collage combines altered playing cards together with fragments of books and objects, collected while travelling around the world, creating a layered composition. The work explores the theme of how modified pieces that may not initially appear to be useful or connected can come together to form something unique and meaningful.
It is inspired by the concept of seaglass, glass shaped by time, weather and the sea, the piece reflects the idea that change does not diminish value. It is similar to how sea glass can coexist among so many shells while still standing out even though it was remodeled by external factors.
The neutral palette allows the viewer to concentrate on the small details of each of the playing cards and emphasizes the transformation of ordinary materials into art.
