Storm in the Bubble is an intimate and charged portrait of vulnerability wrapped in protection. A young girl with an ambivalent expression clutches a sleeping pigletto her chest, as if shielding something friagle and rejected from the world. Around them float translucent bubbles - golden , amber, iridescent- some containing trapped lightning, electric discharges that crackle inside fragile spheres. The contrast between the soft, earthy warmth of skin and fur and the cold blue of background creates a sense of inner storm breaking through outer calm. The painting speaks of love that both saves and threatens to destroy, of tenderness that carries the risk of explosion, and of the absurd courage to embrace what others would discard.
