Two figures in a landscape that is still and timeless, that connects them to the past and makes them feel the ground of the present. Something of the feeling of being exactly where you should be at that time. Where the sunlight warms you and illuminates your path, the tree shades you, the water cools you. I felt this landscape reminded me of both the countryside near the coast in Puglia where the dry heat seemed to make everything quiet and still as did the plants growing through the bedrock of the paths in Hallett Cove, Australia. I see them as landscapes that mirror our interior paths.
