This biomorphic sculpture represents a deeper immersion into the tactile and primal essence of the living world. The piece possesses a highly textured, rough surface that invites touch and bridges the gap between raw earth and organic life. Featuring multiple openings and siphons, the sculpture transcends its functional ceramic origins to mimic a living organism, an anatomical organ, or a mysterious creature from an undiscovered ecosystem.
Through this form, I explore the concept of animism in contemporary art—giving clay its own breath and character. The interplay of dark oxides and light engobe accentuates the rugged relief of the skin, while vibrant yellow glazes inside the openings and on the small textured nodules signal life, energy, and hidden internal processes. This object functions as an interactive, tactile being that challenges the boundaries between the artificial and the natural, embodying a quiet, primitive force.

Materials and Technique:
Chamotte clay, engobes, metal oxides, and glazes.
The raw texture of chamotte is enhanced by layered applications of engobes and dark oxides to deepen the relief, finished with selective glaze accents around the multiple openings to highlight the 'living' focal points of the sculpture.
