With the artwork "Wheels of the Future Perfect" as a cornerstone, Donka uses coaxial art to create a series of flash-forward representations of objects in which the present is perceived as already outdated, destined for obsolescence before it has even been experienced, according to an aesthetic we might define as "archaeology of the imminent" or "obsolescence of the present." "The rapid development of technological progress produces a paradoxical effect in which tomorrow is anticipated before today has even consolidated itself, so we can conceive of the objects around us (a car, a logo, the image of a product) as if they were already archaeological finds." With this series, Donka shows us objects and symbols in their future decomposition. This poetics represents not physical wear and tear but semantic wear and tear. In this light, any brand loses its power of contemporary commercial seduction, becoming a mere sign, a pure abstract form of time in flux. “In the future, when the companies that dominate the market today have disappeared, their logos will be the hieroglyphics of a lost religion called consumerism.” Donka uses the pixel to shape iconic material: extracting the brand from its purpose of "hedonistic alienation" he consigns it to history as a "symbol".
