The Last Way Out

Fifth image of nine to be in a series named "Ominous, The Aftermath". Each artwork deals with the fact that as a collective the human race moves towards destruction not only of itself but of everything. Each artwork paints a possible outcome for some of the challenges that lie ahead.
The scene "The Last Way Out" deals with the fact that we know we are moving closer and closer to a point of critical mass, a point where the human race has irreversibly altered the environment and yet were incapable of reversing course in any meaningful way. The ingenuity of man is in a race with itself, the lure of invention versus the consequences of the very same. The art-work metaphorically brings forward the end, the day when the opening and shutting of doors comes to a close.
