Umbral de hielo

Surrounded by forests and mountains in the Patagonian Andes, the immense Perito Moreno glacier rises over the Lago Argentino as an imposing ice wall of blue, grey and white tones. It seems as though the ice was sleeping in immensity, keeping millenary memories, until all of a sudden it awakens and lets us hear its contained force when it ruptures. In the spectacle of breakage there's strength and fragility at the same time. The eternal and the ephemeral coexist. Unfortunately, climate change has steeply accelerated the glacier's retreat, breaking the balance it maintained for centuries. Now, the glacier loses more ice than what it accumulates and it is thinning.
