Where the sky touches the sea

In this piece we can contemplate a moment of calmness facing Barcelona’s sea. The inspiration for this work is the soft light of the early morning hours in the winter, when light envelops everything and makes the sky and the ocean one. I worked with layers of colors and textures using acrylic, collage, watercolor and printmaking to give the sensation of depth and movement, as if the sea breathed slowly. I wasn’t trying to represent something exact but rather the luminous silence you sometimes feel when you look at the horizon.
