The "Catharsis" series contains 12 works, figurative - expressionistic portraits of women who exist in reality. Therefore, the name of the work contains the name of the series but also the name of the person whose portrait was the basis for the creation of the work.
The series is the result of a deep inner search, a rendering of the pain, which I felt the need to put on canvas, after the loss of my mother.
"Delia" portrays the partially erased face of a woman who refuses to look at herself in the mirror - in this stage, the pain is far too deep to be seen and understood.
