This is a quilt that depict my grandmother an early winter morning in the northern part of Norway. The textile I have used is inherited from my mother, who was an active quilter. This particularly piece is part of a bigger project where four generation of women are collaborating. It is a posthumously project with me and my daughter on one side and my mother and grandmother on the other side, using inherited textiles and craft methods.
On the back of the work there is a slit through which an oak strip can be inserted. The piece can be hung either (preferably) from the ceiling or on the wall. At the top of the quilt, through the slit, there are two eye screws: if it is hung from the ceiling, thread can be attached to them; if hung on the wall, angle hooks can be used. The work should not be framed.
