Shadow Object

My artistic research focuses on the exploration of new methods of representation, with particular attention to the reversal of perceived reality. I am currently developing a project centered on still life, in which I overturn the traditional roles of object and shadow. In this work, the object loses its physicality in order to extend and deform itself across a surface, taking on a new visual identity, while the shadow materializes, gaining substance and replacing the real object. This exchange of functions generates an unusual and disorienting representation that invites the viewer to reconsider the boundaries between reality, illusion, and perception. I use simple, essential compositions to focus attention on this reversal and make the dialogue between form, absence, and presence even more evident.
