The painting “Cosmos in the Mind” looks as though a thought has taken shape – and then simply hasn’t been tidied up. It is teeming with tiny figures, winding paths,
vibrant colours and shapes that look as though they’ve spontaneously arranged a party in
the brain. Lines wind their way like hyperactive trains of thought through a colourful city of
ideas, whilst little figures and creatures frolic merrily as if there were no gravity – or no to-do list. You get the feeling that everything is happening at once here:
One thought shouts “Eureka!”, another trips over itself, whilst somewhere in the
background a philosophical discussion is taking place with a smiley face. And right in the middle: circles, spirals and symbols that pretend to have a deeper meaning – when in fact they’re simply
just enjoying being there. The colour palette is a fresh mix of turquoise, green, blue and
sunny yellow, as if someone were blending a smoothie of creativity, chaos and good humour.
