It is the result of experiments and research conducted from 2018 to the present.
The experiments primarily involve scanning the surface of water. Although the images presented are visually abstract, they do not represent any reality that existed in front of the scanner's "lens". Scanning the water's surface in complete darkness, I see no images. Only pure water. The resulting images only emerge on the computer monitor. I record a video while scanning to see if I missed anything. No. The resulting images do not represent what was scanned – the water's surface, contradicting Barthes's "it was." These experiments seem to challenge the fundamental assumptions of photography theorists and practitioners such as Roland Barthes, Man Ray, Jean Baudrillard , and Rosalind Krauss. But this requires further research. No works in the "BoBrazy" series have been modified in graphics programs.
