_ILLICIUM_

_ILLICIUM_ is a floor lamp expertly crafted from a centuries-old vine shoot, making the wiring invisible. The piece is inspired by the "illicium," a bioluminescent appendage located on the head of the "black devil" (Melanocetus johnsonii), a deep-sea fish. It is a modification of the first ray of the dorsal fin, which hosts light-emitting bacteria and is used as "bait" to attract prey in the darkness of the abyss. The surface, as shown in the photos, is completely smooth and shiny. Making it so similar to the real Illicium is a lamp (12.5 cm - 4W LED) with a chrome effect when off and an orange color when on, as can be seen in the photos.

_ILLICIUM_ è una lampada da terra ricavata dalla sapiente lavorazione a mano di un tralcio di vite centenaria che rende invisibile il cablaggio dei fili elettrici. L'opera si ispira a "l'illicium" che altro non è che l'appendice bioluminescente situata sulla testa del "diavolo nero" (Melanocetus johnsonii), un pesce abissale. Si tratta di una modifica del primo raggio della pinna dorsale, che ospita batteri in grado di emettere luce ed è utilizzata come "esca" per attirare le prede nell'oscurità degli abissi. la superficie al tatto, come dalle foto, si presenta completamente liscia e lucida. ad renderlo così simile al vero Illicium vi è una lampada (12,5 cm-led 4W) con effetto cromato da spenta e di un colore arancione da accesa come si può notare dalle foto .
