Beyond Horizon
I have always been reluctant to throw things away, whether objects, memories, or traces of paint left on my brush. More recently, I have expanded this process by working with poured paint leftovers, allowing accidental marks and fragments to become the starting point of a new work. This painting was created on an old canvas that a neighbor was about to discard. Beneath the final image lies a previous painting and textures already embedded in the surface, elements that I chose to preserve and incorporate into the new work rather than erase.
As I paint, faces emerge, dissolve, and reconnect. The works evolve through a dialogue between chance and imagination, transforming remnants into communities, memories, and shared human experiences.
