This ceramic diptych represents a dialogue of scales and structures, investigating the concepts of growth, organic symbiosis, and repetitive natural patterns. Moving closer to archetypal, uncoloured clay tones, these biomorphic objects evoke the calcified textures of the marine world—resembling sea sponges, ancient corals, or fossilized organisms found on the ocean floor.
The defining element of this series is the obsessive, rhythmic perforation of the surface. This porous, skin-like pattern enhances the tactile depth of the objects, making them appear inherently breathable and alive. The subtle, fluid introduction of a pale green glaze at the rims acts as a vital spark—resembling moss, marine algae, or a living mantle expanding over a mineral body. Exhibited together, the large and small vessels form a familial, symbiotic relationship, inviting the viewer to contemplate the silent, evolutionary harmony of natural forms and the continuous cycle of life.
