Blowin’ in the wind

Two hands hold a strand of hair against an open horizon — an act of keeping, of tending, of holding something alive. In the second image, the same hair moves freely in the wind, uncontained, belonging to no one. Between these two states lies the infra-thin: the imperceptible threshold between holding and release, between connection and freedom. The thread is a metaphor for all that binds us — to people, to place, to meaning. We grasp. The wind answers. And the question, as ever, blows in the wind.
