Viale Regina Margherita appears in a winter vision, stripped of any emphasis. There is no single protagonist: it is the whole of the tree-lined avenue that constructs the image. The trees, the pavement, the façades and the perspective guide the passer-by’s gaze towards the end of the path. The verticality of the trees repeats itself, aligns, becomes rhythm and trajectory. The city does not present itself as a static view, but as a path: a silent structure inviting one to move forward.
