Catharsis 10 (Ella)

The "Catharsis" series contains 12 works, figurative - expressionistic portraits of women who exist in reality. Therefore, the name of the work contains the name of the series but also the name of the person whose portrait was the basis for the creation of the work.
The series is the result of a deep inner search, a rendering of the pain, which I felt the need to put on canvas, after the loss of my mother.
In "Ella" I dive into the duality of identity and emotion, using bold geometric lines to fragment the same face in different colors composition. The contrasting warm and cool tones evoke inner conflict and harmony simultaneously. This oil painting pulses with expressionist energy, inviting reflection on how we see ourselves and others.
