Catharsis" series is dedicated to women, and more specifically, to the traumas that women go through. Sometimes, life is a bitter experience; a mirror breaks and the entire image of us is no longer reflected. The feeling of "being" denotes an existence somewhere on the edge of things and an inconsistency of the self.
"Ava" is part of this series and it portrays a woman's perception post-trauma. This figurative painting is an inner search, where the value of forms is revealed through color and interpretation. The brushwork follows the geometric shapes, conveying feeling, emotion, and human energy.
