Catharsis 7 (Elisabeth)

The "Catharsis" series contains 12 works, figurative - expressionistic portraits of women who exist. Therefore, the name of the work contains the name of the series but also the name of the person whose portrait was the basis for the creation of the work.
The series is the result of a deep inner search, a rendering of the pain, which I felt the need to put on canvas, after the loss of my mother.
Perhaps the most difficult thing, with each work, was the rendering in the mirror of the same portrait, the same features and the same expression of the face.
"Elisabeth" renders this pain, explores the depths of these inner searches, of understanding and accepting trauma as an intrinsic part of life.
