„Clearance(daybreak)” is the main piece of my three painting cycle - „Swan Lake”. This specific canvas presents the moment just before Odette transforms into a swan. She’s surrounded by swans, she’s fond of them, soft smiling. I wanted to make this piece so I could paint something fairytale like. I took inspiration from the swan lake ballet, and technique wise I was inspired by Art Noveau. To paint this, first I commissioned my friend to make the dress based on my project. Then I did the styling on my friend and we went to take pictures by the real lake, at 5AM in cold water. Then I made project based on many pictures we took that day and the other( for the swans). I’m incredibly sentimental for this piece.
