I entered the room after the explosion.
I walked over broken glass and shards of mirror. My reflection stared back at me from every shard. I wanted to escape the pain. I wanted to escape myself.
I moved in a fog. My legs trembled.
Where are you, children who painted these pictures?
I sat down and cried.
The installation unfolds as a metaphysical space in which the fragility of childhood collides with the violence generated by adult systems of power.
Mirrors play a central role in the installation. Positioned relative to the children's presence, they reflect the faces of adult viewers, directly engaging them in the work. This reflection shifts attention from passive observation to responsibility. The mirrored surface becomes a confrontation with ourselves and the future we shape.
The work reflects on humanity's tendency toward self-destruction,while simultaneously insisting on a shared ethical responsibility to future generations.
