I explore the fleeting nature of time and the attitude we adopt towards its inevitable loss. It is a variation of my work "Devouring Time," presented in the exhibition and catalog cover, "Time Between Water," at the Palazzo Pisani Revedin during the Venice Biennale from August 16-31. The image is an inspiration and a force to devour that daily luxury like pure cocoa. I seek to make the viewer reflect on their own temporality: whether they devour it even if it is as hard as metal, or whether they allow themselves to be dragged down by the obsession and difficulty of capturing or evading time.
