Echoes of Entanglement, The Darker Thread

Created using graphite, charcoal, and fine liner, this abstract artwork is inspired by macro photographs of nature, focusing on patterns, textures, and structures that are often overlooked by the naked eye. These natural forms provide the starting point for my work, which I then combine with my own ideas and imagination to create intricate, abstract compositions. Working on a dark background, I explore the relationship between light and shadow by erasing into the surface, allowing forms and marks to emerge from the darkness. Through a combination of gestural and repetitive mark-making, I build layers of texture, movement, and depth, creating a visually engaging and impactful effect. Rather than directing the viewer towards a fixed meaning, I aim to encourage curiosity and exploration, inviting each person to form their own interpretation and discover something unique within the work.
