“These paintings have a very personal meaning for me. Since the first time I read Breakfast at Tiffany’s at 19 and later found inspiration in Audrey Hepburn’s iconic portrayal of Holly Golightly, I have sought to remind women through my art that true beauty lies in imperfection. Nothing external can replace the beauty of the inner world—without it, nothing truly feels beautiful.”
Audrey Hepburn’s character became a style icon, yet was portrayed as imperfect, both in the film and in Truman Capote’s novel. This is the message Alina wants to share with modern women — that imperfection is okay, that it is natural to desire beauty and admire elegance, but what is not okay is to copy others without authenticity.
