Glitzkrieg

I'm fascinated by how we take visual symbols and give them meaning. I use the Heart and Happy Face to represent love and wisdom respectively in my work. I even have a series devoted to the Happy Face. Conversely, symbols we associate with evil are with us as well. In Canada, many motorcycle riders promote their renegade lifestyle with helmets (which the law requires them to wear) modeled after those worn by the German army. In this work, I've united these opposing symbols of love and unlove in a clash where, for me, love can only win, since love is the only reality.
