Born from the weight of artistic perfectionism, Headspace is a psychological self-portrait that captures the exact moment ambition collapses into physical and mental burnout. Set within the distorted confines of my own bedroom, the composition moves past a literal illustration of exhaustion to map a cluttered mindscape onto a physical room, capturing the existential dread of creating "for the sake of creating" (為做而做). In the foreground, oversized hands hold a cluster of paintbrushes in a loose, failing grip, symbolizing the fragile tension between clinging to my identity as an artist and wanting to let go of control. Surrounded by the ominous pressure of an empty easel and fragments of late-night studio memories, the painting culminates in a visceral bleeding and dripping effect along the bottom edge, a direct nod to real, stress-induced nosebleeds experienced during peak production. Ultimately, Headspace is an honest, raw archive of an artist's friction between the relentless pursuit of perfection and the necessity of embracing a flawed, human reality.
