#La dama dei selfie expresses my research into generational narcissism and hyperconnection. In this work, I reinterpret the figurative approach by blending it with the fragmentation of digital languages to give shape to the neuroses of our time. At the center of the composition, a female figure poses for a snapshot within the two-dimensional space of an ideal display, manifesting a chilly emotional indifference toward the apocalyptic explosion unfolding behind her. Everyday elements — a smartphone, a banana, a broken egg — are thus elevated to symbols of a modern Vanitas, allegories of transience in an era that reduces existence to a mere instantaneous image. Through geometric pixels that attack and corrode the medium, I create a visual short circuit between tangible reality and algorithmic fiction, denouncing the spectacularization of the self and the progressive alienation of the contemporary gaze.
