This drawing explores a more personal account of the themes mentioned in the previous drawing, where the desire for violence and domination is less narrative and more experientially explored. Such desires are often self-cannibalising, where the desirer is both the victim and perpetrator of their own behaviour. This savagery is linked to horned iconography presented in Christian demonology and Wendigo imagery (a cannibalistic spirit from North American Indigenous folklore). The intertwining of this primitive violence with sexuality also draws from Aleister Crowley’s "Hymn to Pan", where the horned god of nature, Pan, is the mechanism through which unrestricted and typically taboo sexuality is set free. This piece can be seen as a development and, to an extent, subversion of the purely negative depiction of uncontrolled masculinity in the previous drawing.
