Narcissus
In this work, the human figure is reduced to a continuous line, preserving only the minimal form necessary for recognition. Individual features disappear, leaving behind only a trace of presence. The face is replaced by a narcissus flower - a symbol of self-contemplation, reflection, and the search for identity.

The contrast between the detailed rendering of the flower and the radically simplified body creates a tension between image and sign, the individual and the universal. The flower becomes the primary carrier of meaning, while the body gradually loses its materiality and transforms into a visual code.

I am interested in the moment when an image ceases to describe a specific person and begins to speak about a more universal human experience. As the form is simplified, the figure no longer functions as a portrait but as a sign through which viewers can relate the work to their own associations, emotions, and perceptions of self.

The work explores the boundary between individuality and archetype, presence and absence, body and symbol. The less that remains of the image, the more clearly the meaning behind it emerges
