Drawing from the visual language of cellular structures, Paid in Full reflects on humanity's fragile and fallen condition. The circular form alludes to both the cell and the world itself, bearing the marks of fracture, loss, and impermanence.
Cracks traverse the surface as symbols of mortality, reminding us that death and brokenness are realities shared by all. Yet at the center, a single red point represents Christ, becoming the work's spiritual and visual anchor. Amid the fractures, it stands as a symbol of sacrifice, redemption, and unshakable hope.
The title references Christ's declaration from the cross, “It is finished” (John 19:30), affirming that the debt of sin was paid in full. Echoing Isaiah 53:5, “By His wounds we are healed,” the work points to the promise that even in our deepest brokenness, healing, grace, and restoration are possible through Him.
Through the union of cellular imagery and biblical symbolism, Paid in Full explores the realities of death and human brokenness while proclaiming the enduring hope of redemption and new life through Christ.
