"Post tenebras lux" (latin - After Darkness, Light), historically associated with renewal after corruption or suffering. This artwork is a part of my Opus Magnum Collection exploring the concept of searching for the philosophic stone in Alchemy. Lower background is painted on antique book pages of Goethe's letters, a story of the old world. Sky behind the raising sun is layered with pages from Italian edition of Les misérables by Victor Hugo - the story of victory of love and compassion over hate and violence. A bride‘s body is broken in half, as she is separating from her old self, the background around her is filled with empty skirt frames - old identities left behind. The Raven (the old world) has no eyes as he is not able to see or understand the new world. I believe that it is the new generation of women, who discovered their true feminine energy of love and compassion will be liberating humanity from darkness and leading the evolution of consciousness of our world today.
