Quadriptych Motions

The "Motions" quadriptych is based on Chopin's Mazurkas, Op. 24.

Chopin's Mazurkas are distinguished by their laconic form, diverse harmonic content, and subtle emotional nuances. For this reason, a small format was chosen for the works.

All four parts of the quadriptych are distinguished by their spaciousness, lightness, and clarity of composition and color palette. At the center of each painting is a laconic substance, symbolizing the movement of an internal emotional state. It is flexible, dancing, alive, as if hovering above the earth. It is a closed system of lines, having neither beginning nor end.

We do not remember how we are born, we do not know what happens when we die. All we have is a short period of time during which we move along complex, sometimes ambiguous paths. And each stage, each segment of this movement has its own sound, its own color, and each turn is a choice that shows us not only who we are, who we are becoming, but also what the next turn will be...
