Dying of Thirst at Sea is a ceramic vessel enveloped in dense, hand-built coral forms that obscure and protect the jar beneath. This layered surface functions as both armor and accumulation, registering time through encrustation and decay. While the coral suggests preservation, it simultaneously renders the vessel inaccessible, producing a tension between containment and deprivation. The work reflects on paradox. How abundance can exist alongside absence, and considers how structures that appear to sustain life may also contribute to its erosion.
